Expand your comfort zone and find new friends for life through team building activities and personal challenges. Learn how to overcome personal limitations, develop your individual brand and reach new heights during an interactive leadership workshop Foundations for Success.
be the change
Support the local community with a hands-on service project with United Way, and team up with your peers to build a Community Action Plan to address a critical need in communities around the world, then lead the change in your community. You’ll earn 20 service-learning hours and gain the skills to take on any goal.

Sample Summit Itinerary
DAY 1: Welcome, Ambassador Leaders!
Arrive on Yale campus and check in to the Summit. After saying good-byes, parents can attend an optional brief orientation, while students join their peers for icebreakers.
Enjoy the welcome dinner and opening address, and get to know your teacher leaders and staff who will guide you during the Summit.
Meet your group and get to know your teammates as you review the exciting week ahead.
DAY 2: Challenge yourself
Push your limits during a hands-on team building experience at Pine Lake Challenge Course. Build trust with your team as you overcome obstacles together.
Discover the key steps to constructing an effective community action plan and learn about the Lead4Change project your team will develop during the Summit.
Meet a leadership expert and motivational speaker Sunjay Nath and get inspired by his highly entertaining and thought-provoking keynote presentation.
Dive into your team project – start by examining what personal strengths you bring to the team and what you can learn from others.
DAY 3: Set your path to success
Learn how to overcome personal limits, visualize your purpose, and achieve success during an interactive workshop Foundations for Success with Sunjay Nath.
Working with your team, advocate for community needs, decide on your Big Goal and create a vision for your Lead4Change project.
Explore Yale campus and learn about its history and present-day traditions during a campus tour led by Yale students.
This evening, take part in a College Life panel discussion with Yale students and learn what college life is really like, then make your own college wish list.
DAY 4: Give back
Support the local communities in New Haven, CT, through a hands-on service project with United Way. Learn how you can make your community action plan go further.
Hear from Yale Admissions Officers how to stand out in the competitive college admissions process.
During the Global Youth Panel, learn about CQ – Cultural Intelligence – and examine how you can be more effective in cross-cultural settings.
Develop an action plan for your team project, then learn how to get stakeholders onboard and how to overcome barriers to success.
DAY 5: New York, new york!
Travel by a private motor coach to New York City for a thrilling day in the city.
Explore the intrigue of Lower Manhattan during a guided tour and pay tribute at the 9/11 Memorial.
Enjoy the iconic New York landmarks and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of bustling Times Square.
Back on campus, put the finishing touches on your project and polish your presentation – tomorrow is a big day!
DAY 6: Make an impact
It's your time to shine! As a team, present your Lead4Change project and get feedback. Take the new skills with you to make a difference in your home community.
Celebrate in style and enjoy the breathtaking views of Long Island Sound during a special celebration with your friends.
Reflect on your project and your growth during the final team meeting and the closing presentation.
DAY 7: Lead with passion!
In the morning, bid farewell to your friends and teacher leaders. Remember to lead through service as you go after your dreams.
